We all get nervous from time to time, and walking into a new place can be quite daunting when you don’t know what to expect or what might be expected of you. So with this in mind, here’s what you can expect at St Paul’s on a Sunday morning.
The first thing to say is that we value all people, regardless of who they are or what they wear, so come as you are. As a visitor to one of our services you will not be asked to do or say anything that you are not completely comfortable with. You can just sit and enjoy the service, join in with the singing, and have a chat after the service over a coffee, it’s up to you. We like to make people feel welcome and at home and do all that we can to make this possible.
For us, our Sunday services should be a time that people enjoy and look forward to each week. The overall flavour of our services is a mix of contemporary and traditional worship which we hope is relaxed and inviting, and they last for just over an hour. At each service we share Holy Communion together and hear a sermon on the Bible passage for the day.
All that said, the best way to find out is to always come and see for yourself on Sunday at 10.00am, or for all you early birds that like something more traditional we have another service at 8.00am. Whatever service you choose to come to you will find people waiting to meet you at our welcome table just inside the front door. They are ready to say ‘hi’ and help with questions where possible.
Children are always welcome at our services and we have a children’s program at 10.00am on most Sundays. See you Sunday!
